My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Beautiful - looks like a ruffled chiffon (or is it taffeta?) dress that has been set a-swirling...

Elegant is what comes to mind. This is so very beautiful. I miss seeing the flowers in the different states. We traveled a lot when I was a child. I remember even then being amazed by the wild flowers. Beautiful.

this is off topic, but I love Rod's comments, one for their passion and observation and love for you and bill, and two, because he usually gives you "2 tiered" comments, with a final line a few spaces down. It's like a 2 course meal! And second, you'll have to bear with yet another comment on zooming, but once again, people who didn't see your full intentions---in the full view---missed some beautiful detail. The flower is a burst of radiant lines zooming outwards, accentuated by the zoom of the stamens. It's like someone designed it that way. And the back petals have that quality too. Those lines are part of the flower, I realize, but you brought them out very strongly. The light makes it like taffeta, yes (claude), or crepe, etc. And the compo puts it slightly to our right, which makes it stand out all the more, with the greenery to the left. Denise does lots of shots with a plant slightly off-center; I'm a big fan of that (she also does shots from one corner), and this is a prime reason of how beautiful it can be...A beautiful flower shot, and a real burst inside the flower itself. Glad to see you postworking photography, I hope it continues as the days go on. Unless you're getting a nice cleansing break (which we all need). It's just a treat to see your work whenever you return to it...

Amazing what this photo shows. It's totally inner life, with all the little details, which are as if a secret is unfolded.
