with all the body portraits you paint, it's nice to see a simple 'face' from you. It shows us how finely you paint faces. This woman's face is angled, and looking a bit upwards: I find such angles to be very difficult to draw. You caught the angle and tilt effortlessly. Her corneas (in her eyes) are outlined in simple light-blue paint---the only light-blue in the image---with bold blue irises: marvelously done. You have a simple nose and a simple mouth, and they complete a whole person. (The nose is just 3 strokes: 2 for the nostrils, 1 for one side.) The hair flows down and then stops, as if it's embracing her head. This is something you've done in some other facial portraits, and it's a fine way to "frame" her face. And the rest is your signature white space. (And then, your own signature--CYve2015---is in red: Merveilleux! A beautiful 'touch'.) A very sensitive painting, Yves.

Wonderful - for some reason this looks quite "60s" to me (and none the worse for that!).
