Hey guys! Thanks for the comments. Used a couple of tricks on this 1) to keep the sky dome dark, the scene is lit by ambient lights with a radius of about 100 yards -- enough to illuminate the buildings, but not the sky. (Or I could have composited it with a dark sky, but this was more of challenge.) The other thing is that I used Transform>Scale in PS to stretch the scene vertically about 10%. Not sure it's even noticeable, but perhaps the slightly distorted perspective subconsciously adds to feeling of desolation. Anyway, thanks again for the comments. Back to the in-laws. :)
