Description
This render was made for the documentation for a program with additional terrain filters I'm working on. A Mordor and a Ridges terrain were exported in the highest resolution, manipulated and combined and imported back into the Terrain Editor. Lit by the sun, the clouds and ambient light from an HDRI.

Great job, the mountains seem to definitely young and not yet eroded by weathering.

good one this combo Bryce ! I mostly made my DEMs in Photoshop from photos in stead of directly in the Deep terrain Editor for better results i hope Textures for the overlays taken from the same photos but select only high res photographs that are free to use of course and who are suitable for making the greyscale stuff to import in Bryce in the terrain editor resulting in greyscaled Digital Elevation Models DEM The sources often get manipulated altered filtered ect. to put my signiture on it as much as possible I wish you further succes with combining Brycing elements with other terrainmaking /filtering sources to import in Bryce ! I am a Dutch 3D artist from the Netherlands Ben(ver )

Thank you for your comment. I also use DEMs sometimes from Mars, Moon and Earth. However, 128 px/km is still a bit coarse. I like the idea of height maps as greyscale image. The Bryce TE is really a great tool but with v6.3 it got very slow beyond 1024 resolution. That's why I export planetary resolution terrains and process them outside Bryce, then import it back.
