Very nice presentation, great character and pose, and very delicate subtle lighting. The one thing that does take away from the overall visual effect is the foreground textures, or lack thereof. Using your displacement maps could really give this image the real "bite" it needs. A few months ago I did a black and white test render with some thoughts on the subject that might be of help to you here, Rick, and it will probably be of some help you with your pencil work, too. Keep on truckin'.
