Description
With an average life span of 300 years, this senior oak is one of three (in this yard), which I am told was here to greet General Sherman's troops in April of 1865.
This particular tree is about 100 feet tall, with some branches extending 40 feet predominantly toward an Easterly direction.
I don't have exact measurements at the moment, but will make an attempt to add them as a later 'edit'.
My Grandmother, I am told, swept underneath these trees as a part of her house keeping, but I have taken a different path and tried to preserve a natural healthy foundation... the moles seem to like it :) ***

Thank you all for viewing and for your supportive comments.... As promised, I did a few measurements and found a calculation formula at http://homeguides.sfgate.com/estimate-age-oak-tree-37563.html At " fifty four inches from the base " , the guide is a bit vague (because the base is about eighteen inches higher than the surrounding earth and supportive root system) ... but, rather than quibble about details, a reasonable measurement is 12 feet... (18 feet at the root base) for a circumference. 12 feet divided by pi (3.14) yields 45.8598 ... multiplied by the "white oak age" factor of five (5)... equals a minimum of 230 years of age. If we go with the 18 feet. which is the primary bulk supportive structure, this figure turns to 344... so it's probably safe to say this nut was blossoming before George Washington hoisted a Continental Union Flag and proceeded with our Declaration of Independence. If trees could talk... if we listened closely... perhaps this one might have a few words to say about "freedom" tyvm :) ***
