Description

The same trip into the swamp and the same nest as my last post. Miss Wood Stock returned with a stomach full of fish for her chicks. She regurgitated her catch and all 3 chicks fought over the same fish. The larger of the chicks can be seen trying to swallow that brown fish. All 3 checks ate their fill and then mom ate the rest. Wood stocks are about 40 inches (102 cm) tall and with a wing span of 61 inches (155 cm). Once again I am sorry for the quality of the photo. Zoom might help. I am going back to my Cannon when I get back home. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

It only took a few minutes to swallow it - the secret is to swallow it head first.
