[Somewhere on another trouser-leg of space-time] In a bid to quell xenophobic looting of foreign-owned shops and violent attacks on foreign nationals, police in Durban (South Africa) are seeking to deploy a new mechanized tactical APE unit (Alien Peace Enforcer). Public Order Policing Units from across South Africa were called in as reinforcements after the groundswell of xenophobic violence had provincial police on the brink of being overrun. “We had to have new and better plan, and in order to effect that plan, all available tech resources are literally swinging into action” Policing Spokesman Ngobese added.
