Description

Thinking Spring Gets Out of Hand I’m thinking hard about this thing: Some new way to welcome spring. Something new about new birth, Something worthy of worth. Saying “Winter sheds its cloak” Is enough to make me choke, “Tulips spiking through snow” Rankles me don’t ya know. Maybe “Birds’ songs begin to smile”? Hell – that misses by a mile ….. Do you have some spring line That manages sparkle and shine, And puts a new twist on the bland, And was created by your hand? Well, if you do don’t tell me so, For I really do not wish to know. That might make you feel superior, And I’d feel the more inferior - You probably penned it in a minute While I’ve been days trying to spin it. Would I then speak foolishly? Would you then act bullishly? Oh! To hell with all of this – It’s spring! What’d ya say we kiss???? -------- Thanks for looking & commenting. a great hymn to the arrival of spring, even a kind of fable ... "Whoever saw that winter " !!!
