I love your Peonies, Richard, and it's if I can smell them. I would like if our Peony once will do it such good as your ones do, my friend.

Great color, contrasts and detail in this peony photo.

Such beautiful and showy flowers they are. Lovely shots, both of them!

awesome capture...a beautiful expression of the fragility of the flowers ... even the roses that are brambles !!!

I know it might be hard to believe, but I'm almost at an hour and I've only left something like 8 comments. But I'm very, very slow (because I write a lotta words, lol), so I leave far fewer comments on RR than most do. But know that I do spend time with these pieces, and I see everything, even if I don't comment on everything. I skip around when commenting, only because I can't comment on every image (because of my slowness). But my choosing 'this' image and not 'that' is often as random as if I'd done it the other way around. The others are not lesser, in other words...I just have to choose, and so I do, regretfully. Well I saw your link to a peony from 2007 (I think it was then), and it's very white, with pink accents. This is very pink with a little white accent---maybe as much from the sun as from the flower. But what's striking is the texture and feel of the capture, and the detail in each petal's edge, the furls, the brittleness, the delicacy of it. Beautiful work---I photograph flowers so mediocre-ly, I expect letters from the flower unions of the world, telling me to stop photographing. This is on the other side of the spectrum. Beautiful work, and it's framed very well by those leaves at the bottom. You got the essence of "peony" in these shots.
