Description

Friday I got a call if I could make a fairy tale image of Snowy White ('she lives in the woods with seven men, but that doesn't mean she's easy ') for use on a poster. So this is a bit of day job work that could actually get some cash flowing. Ofcourse Victoria was posed in the appropiatly named app Poser, the texture is a modified version of the one supplied with Vic2, bump map enhanced by me (with different layers of noise mostly). The basis for the hair is Alice Hair. Rendering was done in Carrera 2 (because of strange behaviour of the transparency maps and GI with caustics I rendered a bald version as well), where the necklace and hairband (?) were added using simple shapes. The texture on the dress is a bit of a simple thing, turning out quite well. Basicly it is a PhotoShop 'fur' filter mixed in different shader channels. Heavy postwork on the hair and in fixing the seams that appeared when re-applying Poser textures in Carrera. I suppose over here there are some answers to the problems I encountered, so I am off to the C/RD forum... I almost forgot to mention the excellent Morphing Pillow and Supermorphsheet by TrekkieGirrrl that were a BIG help in getting the scene set. U go GRRL!

Snowy White ended up on a lot of posters and flyers, but with a different hair cut (more disney), a smaller nose, a rounder mouth and her eye slightly 'unslanted' because the client considered this an oriental looking snowy. Don't you just love 'em...
