Description
I have never seen so many Cedar Waxwings together, and could be male and females. I counted 10 and there were some that flew away before I could grab my camera

What a beautiful site to see. I don't believe I've ever seen a female Cardinal ever. We have a bunch of male Cardinal and Humming birds in our yard ever year, and that's another site to see. Thanls for the post on this, it was great for me.Richard. Stan

Oh my goodness! Thank you Richard! Cardinals don't travel in large groups like that. I zoomed in and looked at the details like the yellow bellies and the red spot on the wings. I think what you have are Cedar Waxwings who do travel in large flocks, but not to this area. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2008009&user_id=84622&page=3&member&np Thanks for the dedication and image! I haven't seen one in several years and miss them.

Looks like you only missed a couple of them - I'm seeing 8 of them here.. Great shot, Richard! These are pretty skittish little birds, and not easy to capture like this.
