Well said, & very truthful, I usually hold My tongue on political issues, & used to get critisized very heavily when I said Columbus was a murderer, a rapist, & a slave trader. It made people think & wonder, & then they did research... & realized all that I said was true, the things that were left out of the history books. An excellent tribute to the People Lost due to Columbus, & again, very well spoken :o) Thomas

Very important that Columbus discovered America to state the obvious. Too bad he was an animal in the worst sense of that discription.

That "animalism" was certainly not limited to Columbus. Its the general genocidal attitude that led to the continuation of the mass killings until there were hardly any Natives left to kill. Before Andrew Jackson became US president he systematically massacred Native villages and had his soldiers cut off the noses of all killed men, women and children and skin the men and make bridle reins and leggings out of the human skin. Under his presidency the Cherokee were robbed of all their land, many of them killed and then all of them deported in the "trail of tears" which deliberately led through malaria-infested regions and left half of the nation dead along the death march. The Cherokee had relied on the US justice system and had won a lawsuit before the US supreme court against the land theft but Jackson refused to acknowledge the ruling. Before that Jefferson had said that the Native ought to be "exterminated or driven to seats beyond our reach". He also stressed the necessity not only to kill the men but also to seek the "dens and kill the mothers with their whelps". Washington stressed the need to bring "total ruin" to the Native Americans. And Teddy Roosevelt famously said:"I don't go so far as to think that the only good Indians are dead Indians, but I believe nine out of ten are, and I shouldn't like to inquire too closely into the case of the tenth". You see - Columbus was just the beginning.

Well, what do you want from stinking, uneducated, patriorical, cave men? Native American's had civilization while the white man was still digging in his butt for dinner in Europe... How could a civilization(anything European) claim that the native peoples of both America and Austrailia were "barbaric" and "savage" when these were the people that killed innocents in the name of their 'god'? It's a crock of bull dooky. I have absolutely no respect for any president of the US, and I live here. The only that had a shred of descency was Lincoln, but he never had the chance to adress the Native Americans plight, as he was assassinated by a dumb ass southerner that couldn't deal with the loss.
My father's family hid in the mountains of south western Virginia to escape the trail of tears. They hid in on the many cave networks that run through that area. They now own the mountain, the church that resides at the top, and the cemetery there is for Hill Family members ONLY. If you want to research on it, its Hillridge Church outside of Clintwood, Viriginia. I plan on being buried there one day, and honor my families lines. To hell with the white man's world. It's a disgrace to everything nature set forth.
