Description
This is of an 8 inch cake topper from a wedding that I did last weekend. Proving that macros aren't all just bugs and flowers.
The concept of this was to shoot the tiny people as I would for a full sized portrait or candid shot. This one is a little further back using only the bare minimum of extension tubes on my 50mm lens. Both #1, and #2 were taken handheld using speedlight mounted to a bracket. I can't remember the flash setting since I have a manual flash and I took a couple different shots at different powers.

Fantastic detail in the zoom - the color backlights give some nice highlights. Handheld?

Yep handheld as opposed to taking it with a tripod. The secret is it's a 50mm lens taken at a 1/100th shutter speed at ISO 400 and full flash from the speed light
