Description

You might have seen certain adult bird species in your area feeding their mates. Northern Cardinals are well known for this endearing trait, which is actually part of their courtship and this behavior lasts all through the nesting period. Since Redbirds mate for life, this is also a bonding of their close relationship. This is my one resident Redbird pair. If you look closely in zoom view - you can see that the freshly shelled sunflower seed is just passing from the male's beak into the female's beak. I've seen this many times, but haven't had the opportunity to get a close up shot till a few days ago. Better detail in zoom view. Thanks very much for your recent views and comments.
