More stay-at-home photography. I'm going to get very unfit at this rate ;)
One of the blue tits that I think are nesting in the nest-box in my garden. I also found a beautiful wren's nest yesterday in the ivy; really hoping it is this years, and not an old one....
Thanks for looking & have a great weekend....

He has had a good bath too. Great shot Steve, and I also hope that the wrens nest is a new one! Agree about the con trails, they are not particularly beautiful eh?

A very thorough bath by the look of it! My wrens have nested in a titbox this year, and have roofed it as usual, so I can't takes pics inside!

that is a titmouse..i never saw a blue one is beautiful...I have box up that tufted titmouse built nest in. you say wren nest..do you know they are murderers. I have to tell you the common house wren actually there are a few subspecies of it are the most prominent bird in the us....why? glad u asked? because they still other birds nest/boxes and take over. I know this for sure I had bluebirds nesting and the wren built in another box and one day the bluebirds decided to both leave the box unattended for a couple of hours. I saw the wren go into the box and it killed one of their young and next season no more blue birds. but wrens omg...I had to put sticks in every hole to stop them. finally I let them build and I destroyed every egg they laid. haha...now at me new place I place a box and the cutest tufted titmouse couple built a beautiful nest out of moss and my hair. the wren came and started dumping crap on top of it and where really aggressive with the titmouse I plugged the hole but they r persistent. I still see the titmouse couple coming around but I read an article yesterday that the wrens will actually kill the adult birds. so again if I have to plug every hole except for one and destroy their eggs so be it. there r plenty of them and at the rate they r multiplying birds like the bluebird and other native species to our country will become extinct eventually so I will break every egg they lay on my property. this is a beautiful photo but since you had kind words for the wren thought I should warn you. when they first took up in one of my boxes I thought they where so cute until I witnessed what really mean, annoying little pest of a bird they are...good luck keeping the titmouse around with a wren...

The light conditions were certainly not easy to manage. Excellent capture of this nice and wet little bird.

Great shot! He looks even bluer when wet and the shadows subdued the yellows... quite the bluebird!
