Description
In the western part of the USA there are some dry lakes. They were popular for testing new aircrafts for their very hard pavement. So one has not to worry about hitting the small landing strip or not in an emergency, because one can land wherever he wants. It's like landing on an concrete landing strip everywhere on the dry lake. One of these military used dry lakes are Groom Lake, north west of Las Vegas and Rogers Dry Lake in California, where the famous Dryden Test Range is located.
On one of this dry lakes is the testing team for the Northrop XP-56 Black Bullet (the exact location is top secret) in 1944.
