Description

Here is my finale version of my Sunday project CHESTER , everything modeled in zbrush, model base Genesis 2 M Daz Studio with Nvidia Iray 2015 back to the 70’s ? or still in the 70’s style ? lol I sculpted the character on 10 million poly for each material group so around 40 million total, extracted my normal and displacement and used on the lower subd version . My graphic card have only 2GB so I am allowed to have max 8 million poly in DS loaded in the scene for that reason the scalp hair did not rendered sub-d as it should I hope you like my experiment

Pretty cool bloke... now show me a render with real software... Octane... then I may be convinced... the painted on smoke don't fool me and shadowing lack realism... but what would I know.

There is not light in the scene as the only light source is HDRI map , it is obvious that the smoke is added, unless you saw real time 3D smoke smart pants.. it is rendered with the new Nvidia Iray 2015 real time unbiased rendering as new PBR renderer in Daz Studio with tone mapping adjustments to my taste ..what don't have to be yours, and I don't try to convince you , I am showing off my funky character ..that's all so behave !

Thanks, I am glad you noticed it, the skin surface is from the micro details of the sculpting , the base maps are very flat , I tried to setup good SSS skin shader in Iray so here was my test .. since all values need to be in PBR it make the challenge no simple or you ending with a rubber dolls ;)

What more can be said that hasn't already been said? It's another bar setting work you've graced us with :-) The mode and character is spot on. I wonder if Chester will ever make it to our Runtimes one day? hmmm
