Inspired by "The Rockford Files", she is a niece of James "Jim" Rockford (originally, she was going to be the daughter of Rockford, but I thought it would be a bit illogical as Jim was married only once (between the final episode of the show and the first TV-Movie) and the age wouldn't match up well in the timeframe in this universe). Kinda the black sheep as she looks up to her late uncle. Most of her family tried to help steer her in a better path but like her uncle, wanted to be a private investigator, even knowing the risk that her uncle went through (low pay, cheap living, getting arrested, getting hurt by brutes, etc.) So, in way, it runs in the family!!! (more info coming soon) *Side-note: When this idea came, I was thinking actress Jennifer Garner in the role (that is why she look a little like her), plus the initials and last name is a somewhat nod to the original Jim Rockford himself, James Garner (no relation). ;-)
