When I read the title, I was expecting to see a giant old desk, or some kind of sturdy furniture, but this really startled me….mahogany flowers, of all things, that resemble roses! I wonder if the blooms are as tough as the wood. But I digress - excellent ambiance of color, POV and lighting in this photo, young lady.

OH, My mistake, Harry. I better correct it after Andreas suggestion, because she is absolutely right. :-) She know alot more than many of us do. It is a Mahonia Aquifolium, now that I know the right first name. Then it was easy to find the correct last name. Thank you very much, dear Andrea. Gorgeous shot of these Mahonia flowers. I am always grateful for Andrea's expertise also. I have learned a lot from her and others here that actually know the names of the flowers and plants and animals and bugs. I usually just label mine something like , "yellow flowers" hehehe :) Thanks for sharing, Helle. I always enjoy your work.
