Description

Captured back on 10/18/09, at the beautiful Orchid Show, held at the beautiful Huntington Botanical Center and Conservatory in beautiful San Marino, California. Well, at least I wasn't caught napping this time, and got this particular pic in at exactly the right count of 3600. Well worth a ZOOM. Ciao.

Wow! I'm amazed, with as hard as it is to get these to bloom, that they cut the stems and put them in water in mass quantities like this. Maybe I'm not doing something right, but mine only blooms once a year. Congrats on your milestone, Harry; I wonder if there are 3600 blossoms there? Might be, might be...

Re posting your last milestone 'late', that was MY fault, because you posted something for my birthday in that "time slot," so wound up missing your 3500th by one post. (For which, incidentally, I've felt ENORMOUSLY guilty, lol, and have considered entering a monastery and giving up the world.) But this you got on the button...and it's a beauty. A beautiful splash of a shot, the orchids just spill into our sight, and the closer jar reaches out to us. And you got real detail on each flower, and real variety too. (Orchids amaze me for their huge variety.) A big bursting bouquet of a shot, very fitting for spring, and very fitting for your 3600th! (I'm at---I gotta look---yep, 678: So I got a mere 3000 to go...) A wonderful milestone, and a big bursting image of spring to celebrate it. May there be many more to come, Harry! Congratulations on another mileston!!!

There's an "e" on the end of that "milestone"! (You'd think, on a celebration of your 3600th image, I'd learn to spell...) So, congratulations on another milestone!!! Can't hurt to say it more than once!
