Cool photo of this neat little guy, Richard! Looks like a species of skink. These guys have a unique defense mechanism.... If you grab one by the tail, you'll likely be left with a wriggling piece of tail, as the skink dashes off to escape.... And to grow a new tail back. Really confuses would-be predators!
