Description
This quote is for the people that took the time to personally send me a message saying that my work with poser is more like"playing with dolls" than any sort of art.
"I was an awful critic. I operated on the assumption that there was an absolute scale of values against which art could be measured. I didn't trust my own subjective responses."
Tom Stoppard

This is a lovely render, and I have personally seen similar scenes in real-life with artists painting images that did not really do justice to their subjects. Then again I've also seen artists painting truly beautiful scenes when the subjects were uninspiring. So I guess it all works out. Great render, and thank you for sharing!

Hard to say if there is a scale of values in art, indeed I say there is not, after all, art is freedom of thought. We could evaluate the technique, but if if this serves to obtain a certain creative value can be adapted to the purpose. Personally I decided why not to judge but to observe and try to take something from any work anyway. Speaking of image, I really like both as a concept and as a realization. Maybe it's because I'm also fascinated by the images of the art world. A theme I have often faced in my work.

I love this - both for the skill in rendering, and for the message it carries. Art is indeed subjective.. My whole philosophy (if you can call it that..) on art is simply create what is pleasing to you, and what your heart - and muse - lead you to create. Art critics are a dime a dozen - and overpriced at that... There will always be 'elitists' (they call themselves "traditionalists") who believe that the only way to create what they view as 'art' is with age-old media. In that line of thought, I suppose Rembrandt could have been taken to task for not using burnt sticks and ochre on the wall of a cave. This work is brilliant.

Indeed it is. This is a humorous comeback. Well executed.
