Description
All my friends...
I need to step down for a while, for work, health and family.
But I'll still comment, and I'll get to you all. I'll just be slower, with less uploads.
And something about dedis:
In the last year, I've done more dedis than I've done since coming here. I've adored doing them and it's meant so much to me that you've received them so totally. But I need to 'step down' from them for a bit.
I'll still commemorate losses and things like that: But for the other dedis, I really need replenishment.
Dedis take me so much time, and I get so tired afterwards...so please don't take their absence as a 'statement' to any of you: It's not. It's just me getting rejuvenation...
In the meantime, my version of "the inner life of a stem"...
Love to you all,
and my deepest thanks for always being here,
Mark

This is absolutely spectacular in every way, Mark; as for you needing to rejuvenate, I always wondered how you managed such a high level of dedication activity. I couldn't do it, not pouring my soul into it over and over like you do. Rest and soak up some healing energy, my friend; we'll leave the lights on for you!

I've always thought flowers had an inner secret life, and stems are like the vein of life giving the flower nourishment and support. And this stem has a party going on. Fascinating image. And I'm glad to hear you are taking some time to rest and refresh. Sometimes I crawl into the flowers as I am creating them because it is such a great and inspiring place to be. Have a good rest, my friend.

The thing about rest is that you should get as much of it as possible: and enjoy it..that's what it's for. With things going on, rest always becomes more important, and it can be immense fun as well. Now for this image: well, as usual you've created something marvelous. It actually reminds me a bit of your scarves as photographed earlier...the feeling is the same, though the colors and patterns tend toward the other end of the spectrum in terms of ambers and reds and those ocher colors; there is a similar quality of detailing (no paisley that I can see, though) and a delicious sense of movement. I love zooming in on full and just sliding the view up and down; it's like zooming over a grassy savannah, occasionally scaring a wildebeest or something, before drifting on realizing that the savannah you're flying over is really, really big and filled with all kinds of really cool stuff. This is brilliant and it's an excellent prelude to a bit of rest. I love it!

Mark this is a lovely and thoughtful presentation and I'm so glad that you shared it with us today. Of course you need to take time for yourself and I totally understand that you have to step down for a while, although you will be greatly missed by everyone here.

What a fantastic and Marvellous looking silk scarf this could be. I really love these colors and cannot imagine how you bring them out. Doesnt matter how you do them, but you do them so beautifully always. Mark, I know how much energy you spend, when you do your always outstanding dedis, so I do not wonder, why you need to step down once in a while. Nobody does dedis as you do, so you deserve a good rest. I hope you will have a good and healing rest, dear friend. :-)

stunning

Yes, I agree and empathize with you on the subject of stepping down and recharging the batteries, Mark. You've just about exhausted your life force in the diligent process of heartfelt dedications, for both the living and the departed. I wouldn't be able to do it, certainly not at my stage of senility. I get disoriented and sleepy after just a few minutes at the computer, sometimes wondering if its reality or fantasy. In any event, you have presented us here with a mile high, highly detailed, striking avalanche of loverly colors, blends and overlays, all condensed into a stunning floral image, engulfing an internal flame. I never realized that such mind blowing botanical effects even occurred within the micro world of a humble stem.

Really beautiful piece Mark. {{{hugs}}}

Simply SCRUMPTIOUS ! when zoomed, it is really a lively place to get lost in and take leave of all the earthly senses and let yourself go and 'lulled' into a state of NIRVANA ! hope this makes any sense to you ? (my silly little raves!) and that is something Dr.BB just ordered for you, taken daily - by the spoonful !!! BB
