two immediate thoughts: 1] silly thought of "i think i can, i think i can...' 2] lyrics from a favourite song of mine: let time unwind let all the cogs fall out let man's machines collapse and rust face down in the dust and the last thought has to do with the symbolism of the mask/face that is front & centre and such a crucial part of this that without it, the story itself falls apart, at least for me

The mask was almost the starting point...everything else grew from it, you're the first /only one to remark on it...that feels great :),thank you!....Dust in the Wind by Kansas definitely played in my head, but your song fits even better... lmao at the "i think i can"
