Description
Alain and Eric's excellent Austin Healey Sprite available in their store for Poser/DS and Vue.
I was watching a program the other night on the great British sports cars of the 50's and 60's and it's sad to think we will probably never see their like again. These weren't super cars but affordable sports cars for the everyday man and woman.
They weren't always that reliable but they were fun and individual, being designed by people and not machines.
I grew up in a time where these were everywhere along with the MG's and Triumph's sadly now gone.
Thanks for looking,
Mike.

Mike, you're a real artist and an Octane master. I have created this model because, if I fand a real one in good condition, this is the only car that I would exchange with my BMW 2800CS! Not very reliable but so full of charm!

Thanks Alain. Getting hold of the real thing may be difficult these days but thanks to you and Eric we can at least enjoy these classics in model form. It's a bit like our childhood where we would see these cars on the street and dream one day of owning them and buying Airfix kits of them.

Great job, Mike and of course, British Racing Green (LOL). Actually over here in the colonies, British sports cars have always been a favorite especially here in the Golden State. With all our sunshine and great roads, putting the top down with the wind in your hair and letting go of life can be such a rush. My short list of British cars is a 1972 MGB and a 1977 TR7, both of which were just a blast to drive.

Cheers Dave. I once drove a friends TR7 Convertible and it was no where near as bad as people like to make out. I just wish they'd put the Rover V8 in it from the start.

This is the car for me Mike.
