Description

My beautiful Hattie on the park of course :o))) My first Munsterlander show champion. At the show at the weekend the dog who went BOB broke the breed record for the number of CC's it had amassed over the 5 years he has been shown, (you need 3 to be a champion, given under different judges) So I think this dog has 32. Plus it has International champion, dutch champion, etc, etc before its name. Now that is very nice if you want to travel your precious dog all over Europe, sometimes there are no other dogs of your breed there, so they get first & the top award. This also means your dog has had to have (everytime it goes to another country) various jabs, tick, lung worm & flea treatments etc. Which lots of people don't mind but I would, the only flea treatment my girls get is garlic. Yes they get wormed every 6 months. Hattie got 7 CC's & 7 res CC's but I retired her at the age of 5. She had won loads of awards for me, she still had days out at shows but in all honesty my girls mean more than a piece of card & awards before their name. I am not saying people shouldn't do it, its their dog/s but it is not for me. Thanks for all the lovely comments & favs, so, so appreciated. xxx

Hattie sounds like she was a wonderful show dog, but an even better companion. Best of both

Very lovely lady! While at times shows are good, especially to gather some vital information. I just can't see spending your entire life in pursuit of more awards, especially when the dog has the highest award: your love!
