Beautiful close up of the Damselfly, Juliette. Nice detail, composition, and depth of field. The diagonal orientation of the Damselfly allows the viewer's eye to sweep upward across the body to take in all of the details of the insect. Not having the entire length of the wings visible in the photo also gives the viewer the sense of length on those wings, more than what is revealed in the photo. And, the bokeh on the back part of its wings is perfect as it still leaves enough detail of the wings. I also like the background bokeh on the plant the Damselfly is resting on because it's just enough so the viewer has a reference as to where it is while at the same time giving a nice depth of field to this image.

I know now; it is a male azure damselfly (Coenagrion puella), just born and not fully colored yet
