Former Child of The Emporer and turned away from the Dark Side, Kira was assigned as the Padawan of Shainna Kailiin, a match that turned out to be perfect for the impressionable, passionate, and sometimes undisciplined young Jedi. Kira's exposure to the Dark Side during her formative years left her very pragmatic. In extreme situations, her former Dark Side training sometimes takes over, and she does things that may make normal "Light" Jedi cringe, however, she always regains her perspective in the end. The dichotomy of training, from Dark Side to Light Side was too extreme for Kira to process, and she found herself conflicted during times of stress, where snap judgement calls were a matter of survival. When her Master was expelled from the Jedi Order, Kira followed, entering the realm of the Grey Jedi, and discovering that necessary middle ground she needed to resume her growth. She is impulsive, passionate, and occasionally reckless, with a tendency for rash action and speech, creating challenges for her master when cooler heads may often prevail. Her assignment as Padawan allows her to travel to Valkyr with her master in order to secure diplomatic relations with the rulers of that world.
