Description


This is a 'wicker' statue of the legendary Robin Hood of Sherwood Forest and stands in the grounds of Nottingham Castle. Wicker (willow) is used in the making of baskets.

Ah yes, Robin in the Hood, Sir Robert of Locksley, Richard Greene, Cary Elwes. Once outlaws took from the rich. Now its done by the tour guides. This is a beautiful image of a very well made wicker piece.

Do they still have the old bronze statue that used to be there when I was a kid, I remember that someone stole the bow and arrow and I don't think it was ever replaced.
