I appreciate your positive comments and an opportunity to share a small piece of local history. All the houses are empty now, except my parents old place, which I am currently sharing as a family home/care facility. Aunt Nell's red house, along with my sister's house and a vacant acre of pine trees are planned to be transformed into a multi-family housing complex (condos). This particular house, which belonged to my late Uncle John and his wife, Mildred, is to be an office building, eventually having a value of fifteen to thirty million US dollars. I have been advised that our road will need to be widened to accommodate the new facility. An LLC owns property which includes the ponds in previous images, once planned to be an ice skating arena, but now in limbo, pending corporate world's decisions as to how they want it used. As for my old/current/2nd home, the last remnant of 120 acres purchased in 1942, I plan to retain as long as Grandma is with us... ... may click a few more images of this place, now that graves from 1862 have been relocated. Three 200+ year old white oak trees cause me some concern, but they too are "dust in the wind".
