I enjoyed pulling Google and BING maps, to identify several points of interest. The (former) John Hancock Observatory (with bar on the 96th floor) seem to be under the plane's wing... It's now called Chicago - 360, and Boston now houses JHO ... thx for posting :)

my hometown! From way up in the air...well I live just under the end of that wing. (See me waving?) I live in the high rise district (downtown), which is just beneath the end of that wing. I'm sure that's not earth-shattering to know, but as long as you were over my city, what the heck...A big sweeping shot of this city, in all its flatness (very, very flat), and a sense of how endless the midwest is, esp from the air. It's hard to believe that all that land is covered by streets and buildings. And the background is low flat clouds and, I assume, late day light. (It seems to be coming from the west, which would indicate late day rather than early.) A sweeping view, very nice shot from an airplane (where nice shots aren't often easy). And a view I don't see too often, since I'm usually on the streets where things look a lot different...
