Description
Another winged sword I made last week. It's quite large and very 'anime'. This time I went with a Cabot stain instead of Minwax, and I don't know what happened. Maybe it was the heat or the humidity, but the stain gummed up really fast and, as a result, left a ton of streaks and blotches all over the piece. It doesn't look very good, and I am quite disappointed, but I have to admit, I LOVE the protective finish this stain created. I normally have to go over the piece with some clear coat, but I don't feel I have to with this one. Maybe next time Ill try dipping the pieces instead of brushing.
