So I saw Brigitte's (blondeblurr) image for Lucinda's (myrrhluz) birthday and I realized, "Hey it's Lucinda's birthday" (I do catch on quickly).
I've had this image kicking around in the hard drive for some time. It was just a tree in a meadow next to a picnic table. I took it and basically beat the stuffing out of it.
Happy birthday Lucinda. I hope you and yours are safe.

Wonderful! I love it of course, nothing quite like a good digifiddle! The purple shadows are great, that is so often the colour shadows really are. Happy Birthday, Lucinda!

I think this picnic area is located in the Twilight Zone Great birthday gift for Lucinda (don't know how she feels about the Twilight Zone as a picnic area but hey! it's cool) Fabulous work

I am glad I could oblige Mark ;P ... and the beat goes on ... this is so very reminiscent to, when our mauve/purple Jacaranda trees have their blossoms falling to the ground and give the impression of a wonderful carpet for a few weeks in my garden - there is nothing like it and more stunning to stare at, than that phenomena ;)) and so is your image - simply fascinating - KUDOS ! and a great Birthday wish goes to Lucinda - of course ;)) BB

"You have entered the Twilight Zone Beyond this world strange things are known Use the key, unlock the door See what your fate might have in store... Come explore your dreams' creation Enter this world of imagination..." (Rush) Or, in the words of 'The Mamas and the Papas', "Monday, Monday, can't trust that day" Nevertheless, I would feel this Twilight Zone a great place for a picnic (as long as the food was less otherworldly). Brilliant purples, light tracks on the grass, deep shadows, that I might be inclined to observe from a distance, and tracery in the tree that reminds me strongly of Spanish moss. The violet-blue in the tree glows like light on velvet. Out of this world, and beautiful! I'm there, sitting on the table, picnic basket at hand and glass of wine (what color, I wonder) in hand! Thank you, Mark, for this beautiful image! Enter this world of imagination and join me. The wine is on hand, (though it may be green). :)
