Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I love the Oregon coast and this shot shows a wonderful atmosphere. Thanks for sharing. And may the ghosts of cameras past be permenantly expunged from your camera.

Superb photo! My TZ25 blows images out so easily so I often turn it down two stops.

I hesitate to propose operator error; that's usually what turns out to be the problem when my camera malfunctions :::: No errors here, though, beautiful capture!

Wonderful capture! have you called Ghost Busters?

The blown out photos may be caused by the 'nut behind the wheel'!!!!!!! Just kidding, but a bad workman always blames his tools as my father frequently told me!!!!!!!! Great shot here BTW. On a serious note, have you considered using a light metre?

Oh yeah, it's operator error for sure or the nut behind the wheel!! I totally admit it. Still don't know what I did but I'm sure glad the ghost is gone---for now!!! lol

lol on the camera: When you left the shop, it was laughing its ass off at its perfect prank. ("Works everytime!" it was thinking.) I know you've had your share of camera problems, and I hope whatever you're using these days is treating you well. This is a beautiful sea capture, Marilyn---something we just come to expect from you and the sea. The light on the water is mystical, and you got a golden purple-tinged glow, and lots of texture. The total black silhouettes of the rocks is perfect, against that metallic glowing water. Another beautiful water shot from you. It's your domain, you take to it with total, organic ease.
