Of the two I like this one best. Wonderful image. France and most of Europe are filled with wonderful old buildings with artwork like this embellishing them.

Oh, man, get me some more chisels; the ones I'm using are all worn out! Can we say over-excessive? What a miasmic conglomeration of sculpture in this fabulous sepia shot. I hope the sculptor didn't leave anything out.

I love this old style! Modern is no comparison to this. Beautiful shot!

Mike gets the reason we don't do work like this today---the price tag. The price tag centuries ago was huge, too---but it was funded by the church or by massively rich royalties and such. It's a mixed facade, stylistically, a strange hodge-podge of visual elements, but very ceremonious and eye-grabbing. And once again, to your treatment of it: Another well-framed/cropped facade shot from you, with contrast from the bleached near-white sky with the dark entry below. (A store? I don't know what "orphelie" is---ok I looked it up, in Dijon: It says it's a woman's clothing store...am I close?) But it makes a great contrast with the yellowed and laden walls above it. Another fine piece of of architectural capture from you, this one with real stylistic contrasts. There's an old Yiddish word, "ungepotched," which means roughly, "a real hodge podge". This facade is that, to a degree, though it still has unity. Maybe that's very French, I don't know...
