Description
'Crossing the loch the morning after the eventful night before, allowed Andra the chance to think over his future. Everything now definitely looked less gloomy than the week just past, with Aingleish invaders raiding the glens
trying to press gang the young lads and experienced sailors, into their grim floating fortresses, forcing them to fight against the cousins of the glen folk who had left almost a century before, and now having tamed the Orkadian wilderness, were fighting to keep the Southrons thieving hands off it. The glad news had arrived during the damp, summer night, that the Prince, over the Water had sent ships, via the icy northern route, with offers of freedom in
the Newlands, and arms and training to harass him closer to home. However, today, all was calm, and long may it continue.
HAUSMAN Tales of a Grandfather, Auld Dalriata Press, Dundevlin
After the recent gales and large hail stone of our Scottish summers, I considered a calmer rendering, using the older Natural Scene Designer landscape program on my PC. The Mac version has been updated, but this is a few years old now.
Wishing you all a piece of tranquility amid the busyness of everyday life, especially on Sunday, which apart from those of us in the emergency services, and essential occupations used to mean a day of rest, recharging the batteries in today's parlance, getting one's perspective back, as well
as one's breath ..
God bless and keep you all.
