Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!Â
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper! Â
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

I once had a bottle of man pong by Guerlain, gave it to my brother as my feeling was it was too effeminate for my taste, I am more the spicy person, with Fahrenheit being a particular favourite.

Quite a lovely bottle made more so by your usual excellent treatment. And once again the list of ingredients makes me think it is something to drink rather than wear.

I'm skipping at long last, because I'm getting over 75 minutes and I have to leave. But I had to get at least one bottle shot. You've captured the bottle with deep dark shadows on the bottom (a deep red black) morphing to reds and then golds and then yellows at top. A very sensual treatment. Your background, once more, has eradicated the join between vertical and horizontal, making it more about light than structure. And the title---in whites---stands out brilliantly here. And you used highly strong whites in the cap too. A simple shot, but masterful once again; and in zoom we can see all the nuances of your way with color, light, texture, etc. Another first rate bottle shot, Andrea. And I'm glad you like Guerlain's scents: It must be exciting to try a new one, whenever they come out. And btw, that box has art on it that's very French, and a combo of cartoon line with fashion line with a bit of Matisse and even the cartoonist Hirschfeld. A big hand-drawn style for a bottle of perfume! Beautiful work, Andrea. I love your bottle work. (One of the topics Tara and I discuss on the phone, btw---she loves this series too.) (If you don't know Hirschfeld, btw, here are two classic drawings: One, the comedian David Steinberg; the other, George and Ira Gershwin. Long expressive lines, long sweeps, and wonderful proportions... https://barbaragusbi.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/david-steinberg-hirschfeld.jpg http://waterfrontplayhouse.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/Hirschfeld-featured.jpg)
