Description
I have been working alongside Alain and Eric in the Nationale7 team for a short while and they are both very kind and generous men.
Alain asked me if I could do a render of Caterham 7 that a good friend of his owns and I was more than happy to do it.
I used the Nationale7 Lotus 7 in the store here and added screen mirrors, front side repeaters and side exhaust to bring it in line with the more modern 7. I also added the wheels from the N7 wheel bundle as the depth of those were more in keeping with the modern car too.
This a was a joy to work on :-)
Thanks for looking,
Mike.

Beautiful job you did here, Mike. British Racing Green is a must, and I like the fact that all the chrome is not the highly reflective type. The satin finish on the rear wheel fenders is just what the doctor ordered. Super render!

Thanks Dave. I used a studio light base on this one and add a couple of extra lights to bring out the gloss in the paintwork.

My friend has been very happy when she has seen this caterham by Maxidyne. The textures and modifications are EXCELLENT! I had made this 3D model some years ago and I have been working with blueprints and photos. Mike, hat off! She told me that driving such a car is a little bit rough :hard seats, windy, not many place over the head when the sof top is up, uncomfortable suspension,... This is a pur british sport car and she likes her.

Thanks my friend, It makes me very happy that you friend liked it. If you ever need any more images just ask :-) A neighbour down the road from me has a Triumph Stag and I have had a drive in it. It is windy and noisy at speed but I would have a classic car like that over a modern car any day. British cars of that era may not be the most reliable and in the case of British Leyland not that well put together but they are fun.

Sweet rendering of this classic vehicle! I had a plastic model of this car as a kid, and sadly botched its painting. This one is superb!
