Captured back on 10/19/08 @ 11:50 am, at a car show held in beautiful Santa Anita Park in beautiful Arcadia, California.

this time I'll go backwards, to comment on items I didn't comment on in my last few outings. Picking up where I left off, last...yes, the car is stunning, esp in mint condition as it is here. But your shot is a stunner too, with that red and its reflections and its chrome sweep just standing-out amidst all the stuff around it. That truck to its right may be a gem closeup, but behind the Studebaker, it looks like a dilapidated old pickup. Amazing how things change when seen in relation to others...(it has compositional grace, however, which I'll say something about in a second...) You de-focused the rest of the shot just enough to make it background, without taking away its identity. And it brings us to this sleek beauty. The angle allows a full front view which, in shadow, seems a deep dark red with beautiful blue chrome. (The chrome is silver, but it takes on blue tones, in shadow.) And the side view---along with the hood---shows the sweep of reflections, lines, etc, in that amazing pristine red. A fine shot of the lines and sweeps of a beautiful old car, where you've handled the background just right. In fact, the way you have that truck kind of growing out the side of the Studebaker---on our right---is quite fine, compositionally: It's in balance with that umbrella on the left. Given the toughness of getting this car perfectly, because of all the visual interference (it'd make me scream, if I were photographing this), you got as much a studio shot as was possible in this surroundings. Big, bold, sleek, and real eye candy.
