Going Home by CoyoteSeven

Don't worry folks, it's not something immediately terminal and I'm doing very well right now.
After 13 years of living in southwestern Florida, I decided it's time to go back home to
South Carolina, so that I may be closer to family and old friends.
My first priorities is to find a permanent residence (Thank God for family giving me a place to stay
until I do!) and work, so it may be awhile before I'm able to post again.
I hope you like my simple render as I have based it on the poem "Footprints in the Sand" by Mary Stevenson.
One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."
Thank you for viewing and see you again soon!

Well, the doc says heart valve replacement is a "simple" operation that's routinely performed on people 10-20 years my senior without "too many complications"... just not looking forward to having my chest cracked open again (had double bypass 18 years ago). Guess my extended warranty ran out. LOL Faith in the Divine Creator has always been strong in my family, though being a stubborn (and admittedly stupid) human has at times caused me to "go my own way" with disastrous results. But the best thing... HE knows I'm an idiot and still loves me, always welcoming me back with open arms.
