One of the most kitschiest sunsets I've ever seen, but very well done.

This is great , but have you ever heard od of the 'Galden Mean' (equasion used by clasical artist to lay out a composition) put simply it's the one third two thirds rule, ie. your river bank would look more agreeable to the eye if it was only a third of the way up from the bottom. Top half of the scene is brilliant though !! ;-)

That's an interesting point gerry g, but if you would care to measure the image you may find that that the water line begins almost exactly one third of the way up. The image is 512 in height one third of that would be 170 or 170.6666667 to be exact. Using the rules in PS indicates that the water line begins at 342 on the scale and this is the number derived after subtracting 170 from 512. Now this wasn't equated into the composition nor did I calculate using the 'Galden Mean' rule (never heard of the Galden Mean to be truthful...Golden Mean perhaps), I just put the water line there because it looked better.

very nice....somehow it reminds me of Gone with the Wind...must be the "gents" hat and coat or maybe it's the Technicolor sunset...whatever it is I like it !
