Description

I past into Oklahoma from Amarillo for the first time since the 60's in order to take my sister home. I am glad I stopped in this town that still gives an idea of being in the 50's. actually a few businesses has space in this very old gas station

Fantastic and wonderful! Do 4 people run out to service your vehicle when you pull up to the tanks like in the old commercials, probably not eh! :) Superb shot, nice to see the building preserved!

That is so classic. What a wonderful find - I love these old gas stations. Brings back a lot of memories. A wonderful photo, Richard! Last time I was in Amarillo was 1968 - Basic training at what was once Amarillo Air Force Base. It was my dad's last duty station before he retired from the USAF in '63, and it was my first duty station when I enlisted in '68.
