I never danced the Charleston, but it certainly looks like fun - and that period had a very distinct atmosphere. Probably even more fun, since there's a prohibition sign on the door, but plenty of bottles on the bar... ;) Trier I actually know quite well, I was based for for a couple of years with the Air Force. It's a beautiful old city on the Mosel River, very close to Luxembourg.
