Dear Richard With round 7500 shot photographs I wouldnt recall every single one either or where it is taken This one of yours you could not recall where it was taken but you must remember being there Monument Valley, Navajo country ? From The witness formations there is this a very typical example but also a peculiar one The formations on top is called The Hen,s Nest .I am on search for aireal takes of M V to locate te place . Otherwise I could now poin it for you . Rockfaces parts recognizing as living or died people like you did in this central picture (you mean the first president George Washington I presume ?) I am sorry to second some other members no Georg stayed hidden for my eyes but you can believe me I see resemblences everywhere in nature but not here You must have a trained set of eyes for it I think because you are a photographer . Sofar this reply on your comment for wich I thank you !

I just skipped over 10 years (!!!), but I wanted to comment on some of your recent work as well. This is typical of the fine-honed eye you have, of your mix of detail with overall sweep, and a sense of tranquility even where there is so much activity. For all the shapes, this is taken over by strata: Just piles of lines crossing this big vista. And the light on the rock formations is wonderful---strong, yet dreamy. The sky is so clear and bright (with the gentlest blues). And it all feels like it was 'whooshed' on a canvas in one big sweep. Beautiful photography, with scintillating detail.
