Description

Vic 7... iRay.... hmmmmm.... Does this mean learn new software (DAZ Studio), dump $30,000 worth of V3 and V4 product, get another three mortgages... and start all over again??? Or will she be passed over like G1 and G2??? The fun is starting to go. Deane

Gorgeous figure, I'm sticking to G1, and some G2, I'm not buying all new morphs and content and fits all over again, G2 prices seem to be going down a little. But for my needs a G1 that can be either sex and use all my content is what I'm sticking too.

Beautifull work. They are replacing figures too fast. Mortals like me cant afford to retool...i`m passing on V7 and since they have a new line resources will be pulled from G2 etc for it, will pas.

An excellent pin up, the background is perfect for the image!

She is gorgeous but my bank account (and brain cells) are sticking with V4. Your image makes me dream though.

Beautiful render, but what's the deal with her curving back? Is that the pose or does she default to having a curved back? It's like her hips forward but her back is kind of weird... maybe it's the angle....

I'll used G3, but I'm already having buyer's remorse on Victoria 7. It's just a morph for G3F, not a new figure. G3F is the new figure and it's free. For now, you can put G2F items on G3F, but I hear not all of them work very well. The long dresses are having major issues. Once some more utilities come out to allow you to use more clothing from more sources like V4/M4 and G1/G2M, then I'll dive into it more. One thing I really like about G3F is the bends are amazing. It's actually hard to get a bad one. They are still there, but it's much harder to do.

Nicely done! Why not take a trial? After all, DAZ Studio and Iray are free and it is always fun get a new tool in our toolbox.

I see no point in DAZ3D shifting the goalposts all the time. Unless there's a killer app (or should that be Killer Queen?) to make V7 a must-purchase. In the meantime I'm sticking with the tried & true.

The textures, shapes, and posing flexibility and range are enticing......maybe just buy some clothes and hair and do work-arounds to fit them on existing models.....Thank you for this render though! Always love your work!

If you be able to afford her and have the time, to learn DS, you should grab her. She is looks definitively more beautiful than G1 and G2.

You always manage to bring out the best in a figure/model but I agree with your weariness about the relentless but fickle updating that requires re-tooling at some considerable cost to not that much more fidelity.

Deane, I would say GO FOR IT! Especially since you skipped G1 and G2. In many ways G2 and G3 are to V4, what V4 was to V2. They are a HUGE improvement. I hated Daz Studio and G1 for a long time and stayed loyal to Poser and V4, but Daz Studio improved and G2 was hard to ignore so I made the switch and now with Iray, OMFG! Goodbye Poser FOREVER! I'll never go back! I might miss the cloth room occasionally, but not enough to go back. I have a lot invested in G2, and I will still use her because she's fantastic, but I will slowly adopt G3, and I can definitely say her bends are amazing, I'm also loving her Iray shaders. My recommendation to you is, go ahead and give it a go! You won't regret it. I certainly don't!

Wonderful render! As V7 (G3F) doesn't work in Carrara (yet?) which is my chosen application, then I won't be getting any of this new stuff. But as you imply, there's plenty of great stuff yet to play with for several previous generations of figures.

Whatever you do, Deane, don't give up. Stick to your system. We all love your work too much to see it go. You do absolutely stunning work without having to go Genesis, DAZ3D anyway. It's easy to get caught up in the hype of new characters & features, but you prove time & time again what Poser & Octane can do. :)

She's a beaut! Like the aforementioned, stick with what you love more. I agree what you mean. I was like, oh boy, another Victoria base.. I only go as far back as V4.

Just because they upgraded doesn't mean that we have to. All of their figures back to 3rd Gen. work just fine.
