Hi All,
I have dabbled in computer graphics for many years, renewing my interest when I discovered the community on Renderosity, many years ago now. Thanks for all the friends, support, comments and just views! I hope that you like what you see, and don't mind my endless experimenting and daft sense of humour!I have become something of a champion for Carrara and believe it to be one of the most comprehensive and best value 3D packages available. I became known for my extensive use of Carrara's dynamic hair and 2010 has seen the release of a number of commercial Carrara hair products. I have also recorded a whole series of video tutorials for Infinite Skills Inc available over at Daz and also here:http://www.infiniteskills.com/training/learning-carrara-7.htmlOne of my other passions is music and I used to be keyboard player with progressive rock band Manning (2008-2009). I was delighted to make my recording debut on "Number Ten" released early 2009 - I also had a big hand in designing the CD cover and booklet! I am now writing and recording some demos of my own music. Thanks for looking - have a great day! Phil

I am finding that rendering in Octane adds new life to older assets!

Really cool work Phil. She looks more like a real person. (I use V3 all the time)

This is an excellent render and I am glad that it shows that with a top notch renderer like Octane V3 skin textures can look very good and very natural! If you do the same render in Carrara 's native renderer you will have to go out of your way to render a V3 skin that doesn't look like cardboard (or thick leather)! Based on my experience, it is nearly impossible to render natural looking human skin in Carrara, especially if you use only interior lights (i.e. no hdri)!

Very nice render love the skin tone

Very good render and lighting quality. This is not the Carrara render engine :)

Great image and cool use of the bloom effect for this one. (V3 appears to have a fine set of polygons, but that topology around the forearm is atrocious!)

Vicky 3 can still look stunning with the right lighting, as you have proved. I have Mike and Vicky 6, but I'll stick with using 4, as I've too many goodies for her and Mike.

Fantastic made image Phil, but I agree to what Nod said, we spend too much money in V4 just to start the same with an other character! Excellent work! Hugs Ute
