Description

A number of years ago I heard a saying; "It's better to aim for the stars and miss than it is to shoot for the mud and hit your target." I don't know how it is I always end up off my target, yet I continue aiming high. I've always seemed to periodically be heading upward, and at some point things seem to veer of course. Sometimes suddenly and dramatically, sometimes gradually; but no less well away from the intended target. I don't know if I have ever hit the mud, but I've certainly been heading somewhere near the horizon several times. I wouldn't say that right now I am floundering and veering off course, I'm not doing what I wanted to be doing, but much of this isn't by choice, but dealing with the circumstances that currently exist. I've been rending some images, as I have mentioned previously; but I am also suddenly dealing with some other issues besides my back problems. Recently I have been having issues with my wrist/hand and this has me a bit concerned. I already know I am borderline for having carpel tunnel and have tendonitis in both elbows and hands, but this issue with my right hand is bothersome; and again, sort of sudden. I've actually cut back some on my PC time, but it hasn't seemed to have helped much, if at all. I've probably just not cut back nearly enough. I don't intend to alter my aim, nor let the problems deter me. I do intend to reassess my target, perhaps choosing a different star -- after all, I've had to do this several times already because of these problems. But I guess I first need to see if this is going to subside at all, then pull back on the bow a little harder and let it fly. Who knows where I can end up this time. Thanks for viewing, and the wonderful comments you all seem to make. It's been much appreciated. Once again too, the character is Genesis 3.

Excellent poignant reportage to go along with this stellar promising image of the lovely well endowed young lady, reaching as high as she physically can in hopes of grabbing the bright brass ring of success in life. No mud intended for her. Sorry to read of your problems; I also fall into the painful camp of a bad back, plus some right wrist arthritic discomfort, which I ease with a brace, along with a bad right ankle. The penalty of growing old.

Wonderful POV and nicely staged. Beautiful render. From just another somebody with similar ailments, all I can say is hang in there and do your best with what you've got. Art can be very cathartic.

You have my sympathies. If you have noticed, I don't do as much artwork as I used to do. Mostly now I post photographs because of a mixture of arthritis in my wrist, a little carpal tunnel, and the rotator cuff surgery. I always enjoy your work. It is excellent.

I passed on the rotator cuff surgery almost 20 years ago now. It still flares up once in a while, and I have limited range of motion in both shoulders, but it is far better than what the doctor thought I was likely to be dealing with at this time. That is when I found out about the carpal tunnel and tendonitis, as well as what was yet still future back problems. The back problems are here, and the hand issues appear to be now too, but I guess that's part of getting older and dealing with the consequences of your life's experiences. ....and thank you!
