Reed, Skylar and Archie are enjoying their new spacesuits and watching the blue robots working in the mining area. They are carrying on a pleasant conversation when suddenly a dark shadow passes over them. A very sleek looking spaceship circles once, then slowly settles down in front of them. A strange looking humanoid exits through the front glass and sits down on the edge of his floating craft. The guys are totally awestruck. They don't know what to do. All three of them are so surprised by this development, all they can do is stand there and stare. The spaceman begins to speak. They can all hear him through their intercoms. He tells them that he means them no harm and not to worry. He is only here to assist in their transition from earthbound humans to 'members of the community' of interstellar travelers. He explains to them he has been watching them since their discovery and use of the gate. He lets them know that he is a very advanced electronic being, hence his lack of a spacesuit. He reviews many of their projects and tells them where they can improve. He explains that he must give them some rules for venturing out into space. Rules that everyone else in space adheres to. He will work with their botcydroids and instruct them to the point that they will be able to work through this transition more properly and assist the human race to make the leap to space travel. He knows that Archie is thinking of plotting a jump to Mars but he cautions against it. He says there are events and systems in place there that would make their visit a possible catastrophe. He suggests another destination and says he will give the coordinates of it to the botcydroids. He assures them they will be greatly pleased when they visit this place. Archie invites the stranger to accompany them to the base. He accompanies them back to the base. Once in the base, he introduces himself to Herman, Alexander and Michelangelo. Archie tells the botcydroids about the encounter outside by the mining dome. The space being settles down with the three botcydroids and begins to instruct them. The pace of instruction is so rapid no human can possible keep up. Before long, the spaceman says he must go. He is very confident that Herman, Alexander and Michelangelo will be able to complete the work he has instructed them in and that they will be far more valuable to humanity because of his instructions. He also praises Archie for creating such marvelous brains for his proteges. The spaceman excuses himself from the group. He seems very well mannered which strikes them all as a most noble feature and are glad to encounter it in their first encounter with spacemen. The spaceman waves farewell to them and exits the dome. His spaceship is waiting for him at the entry. He enters it and disappears in the blink of the eye. Now, I wonder what the spaceman taught Herman, Michelangelo and Alexander? Hmmmmm.
