Description

I have seen all the monuments, the town, white house, Arlington cemeteries, Alexandria, Georgetown, so many of Washington D.C. I think many of you know this town...so my last upload from my short and wonderful vacation there. I live in Switzerland and have never seen our famous Matterhorn.... running gag between my husband and me, every year we say now its time to have a look at this mountain... :-)... perhaps this summer? :-)

Isn't it funny how when you live somewhere you put off seeing the local attractions? I do it too, and it's embarrassing sometimes. Wonderful shot of this monument (which I did see once as a tourist many many years ago!)

I love your shot Priska and just right for this months challenge. I live in the UK and I have seen the Matterhorn more than once - you ought to go and take the Mountain Railway up to see it more closely.

That is indeed a HUGE obelisk :-) Superbly captured too. Yes, you must see Matterhorn. Not that I have seen it other than on a photo :)

It is a great POV Priska and there is an elevator inside that goes up to those tiny windows at the top. It is 555 feet tall (169 meters) and this is an exceptional photo! Es ist eine große POV Priska und es gibt einen Aufzug im Inneren, geht bis zu jenen winzigen Fenstern an der Spitze. Es ist 555 Meter hoch (169 m), und dies ist ein außergewöhnliches Foto!
